Course Description

Reading and discussion of a variety of texts on Chinese culture. Translations of Chinese into English. Most classes will be conducted in the Chinese language.

Indicative Assessment

Assignment: 20%, mid-term exam: 15%, oral exam: 15%, final exam: 50%. Graduate students attend joint classes with undergraduates but may expect more rigorous assessment and additional assignment work, tailored to the graduate students’ interests.

Three hours per week
