| Course Description |
This course covers the fundamentals of sound theory and practice, digital and analog signals, basic recording and editing techniques, and approaches to sound design. |
| Indicative Assessment |
Assessment is by a series of assignments, and a final presentation of the major project to the Viva Examination panel. |
| Workload |
All sessions take place in a computer laboratory: 3 hours of seminar / studio practice per week Students are expected to do at least an extra 4 - 6 hours of independent studio practice each week |
| Requisite Statement |
Students selected for this stream within the BA(Digital Arts) program will be guaranteed a place. BA(New Media Arts) students will be offered available places following interview by BA(DA) academic staffing during the Orientation Week.
