| Course Description |
A project is designed to provide an introductory insight into the conceptual and visual possibilities of the web as an art medium in its own right, and to introduce students to basic web technology and simple computer-based techniques and processes. Students will be required to participate in technical programs and demonstrations aimed at developing an understanding and proficiency in the use of web technology and digital media production and processes. A material list giving basic requirements will be issued at enrolment, and occupational health and safety instruction is included. Note: Places in this course are limited. Students are advised to enrol as early as possible. |

Studio Project (80%) [LO’s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Visual Diary/Blog (20%). [1, 2, 4] Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress. |

4 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice and other research. |
