| Course Description |
Textiles Design 3, introduces a range of design skills in the areas of computer-based and paperwork design. Techniques and processes are investigated through set design briefs and instruction in occupational health and safety principles is included. Project-based design development and research encourages integration of material practice with growing awareness of key design principles. Studio theory increasingly serves to contextualize the student’s practice within the broader design and arts context. |

Portfolio of studio work (80%) [LO’s 1 – 5] Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). [LO’s 2, 4, 5] Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress. |

12 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice. |
