| Course Description |
This course introduces students to modern spoken Korean and to its writing system, Hangeul. It lays the foundations for later Korean language courses. |
| Learning Outcomes |
To provide students with a beginner's competency in spoken and written Korean, including the ability to communicate in Korean in basic, everyday situations (asking directions, buying clothes, introducing oneself, talking about family etc.). |

Two mid-term tests – one written, one oral – (together 30%), one final written exam (40%) and one final oral exam (30%) |
