Course Description

Extensive readings and discussion in Korean of Korean texts on economic, political, legal, cultural and other topics. Written Korean-English, and Korean summaries of English language texts. Basic interpreting skills. The selection of material to be studied each year will take account of the needs of the students.

Learning Outcomes
The ability to present and discuss contemporary issues in spoken and written Korean.
   
Indicative Assessment
 

The assessment will be:

one written exam (30%)

two oral presentation (20% each)

and news report (30%)

Three hours per week
