| Course Description |
The course is designed to perform a key role in the advanced training of translators. Foundations are laid for the development of the English-writing skills required in translation, and students are introduced to the concepts of comparative rhetoric. |
| Learning Outcomes |
Abilities to comprehend and analyse an original text of substantial length and difficulty, and ultimately to produce a a translation work of quality, are developed, along with learning methods of solving various kinds of problems encountered in the course of translation. |

Two assignments (of 1500 words each) - 15% each One wordbook presentation - 20% Final wordbook compilation - 50% |
| Workload |
Three contact hours per week plus several hours preparation. |
| Requisite Statement |
Students should already have six Credit level grades in courses other than first year courses.
Students who are native speakers of English should have advanced level courses in a second language.
