Course Description

The workplace is the site for extensive legal regulation over and above the mechanisms of contract, awards and workplace agreements (which are explored in Labour Law) - in areas such as occupational health and safety, equal employment opportunity, and relations between trade unions and their members. There are also distinctive regulatory issues thrown up by the role of international norms and by changing conceptions of public sector work.
