| Course Description |
Advanced Composition and Arrangement 2 is designed for advanced students who wish to specialise in composition, arrangement. It builds on Advanced Composition and Arrangement 1 allowing students to pursue their creative goals over the course of two semesters. Students will work with a supervisor in preparing a composition portfolio of works that reflect the student's own interests and professional focus. To support this creative work, students will analyse theories, structures, methods, approaches and techniques in a range of styles and in a range of instrumental and vocal repertoire. The study of instrumentation, orchestration and arrangement, with reference to scores from a range of historical periods and styles complements the compositional work. |
