| Course Description |
The development of tuning and temperaments, with specific reference to keyboard instruments, will be discussed within the context of a chronological continuum. It is recommended that Piano-Major students elect to take this course. |
| Learning Outcomes |
Upon completion of this course, students will form personal responses to the aesthetic and emotional implications of historical temperaments, as well as to the notion of what constitutes 'in tune'. |

Pass/Fail, based on attendance and commitment shown by students (minimum attendance: 80%). |
