This course offers an advanced approach to analytic philosophy, suitable for students who have a strong background in philosophy, and may be interested in continuing into honours 4. What is taught will change from year to year. In 2012, our concern will be with ideas about autonomy, and how they relate to issues in metaphysics. We look, initially, at some historical and ethical material, but our main concern will be with issues ex plored in John Christman (ed.) The Inner Citadel, and James Stacey Taylor, Personal Autonomy. |
