| Course Description |
This course is intended for students specialising in photonics. It provides opportunities for students to experience an industrial working environment. It exposes the students to the workplace providing a link between the academic course work, the laboratory courses and the challenges in the photonics industry. It puts the coursework into perspective and allows contacts with potential employers. |
| Learning Outcomes |
In this course students will: 1. Experience hands-on work with a commercial company operating in the general area of fibre optics. 2. Develop advanced commercial laboratory and report writing skills. |

Essay 60%, Laboratory report 40% |
