Course Description	This course will explain economic growth, structure and change. It looks at theory and practice for the driving forces behind the medium-term and long-run directions of the economy and provides a framework for analysing individual drivers of growth and change and for better specifying associated policies, given also the global environment within which Australia operates. The course will also consider the full array of associated complementary policy settings within which industrial strategy must operate, and then seek to define industry policy and provide tools for evaluating industry policies/programs. Definitions of the boundaries of industry policy will emerge from the course, including as an intellectual basis for subsequent offerings on developing industry policy.
