| Course Description |
A consolidation and extension of the methods and analysis techniques introduced in PSYC2009. Topics include the measurement of psychological constructs, experiments and survey designs; analysis of variance for one- and two-way between- and within-subjects designs, planned and post-hoc contrasts, integration of ANOVA and regression as an introduction to the general linear model, searching and analysing the psychological literature, using SPSS ANOVA and Regression models to analyse data, reporting analyses. Examples are extrapolated from published studies in the psychological literature. The course will be taught at a level appropriate for intending honours students. Indicative Assessment: Lab attendance (5%), a lab report (15%), a midterm exam (35%) and a final exam (45%). This is an Honours Pathway Course. |

PSYC2009 (or equivalent) and one of PSYC2001, or 2008. This course is a prerequisite for entry to the fourth-year Psychology Honours Program and is a compulsory course in the BSc(Psych) and BPsych programs. |
