| Course Description |
This course primarily deals with the theory of survey sampling. Topics covered include: simple random sampling, with and without replacement; estimation of population total, mean and proportion; subpopulation inference; systematic sampling; stratified sampling; ratio estimation; unequal probability sampling, including the Hansen and Hurwitz estimator and the Horvitz-Thompson estimator; regression estimation; cluster sampling; and estimation of population size. |
