This program is specifically designed for students who have an interest in undertaking research and development in either industry or an academic environment. A strong research foundation is provided for students wishing to progress to a PhD.

R&D opportunities exist in a range of industries including defence, energy and power, advanced manufacturing, aeronautical, transport, and communications to name just a few.

Students will complete an engineering specialisation as well as an R&D specialisation so will also be able to pursue a traditional engineering career if they wish.
