The Graduate Diploma in Digital Arts is aimed at students who wish to study digital arts and produce creative digital art works in the areas of video, animation, compositing, internet art, processing, sound or hybrid practice; a specialization in Visual Effects is also available. Entry is open to students who have completed an approved program in digital arts or related areas and who wish to further their studies in the context of the creative arts. It provides a basis for a career as a practicing digital artist or employment in an arts or media related area; or it prepares students for further graduate study or research.
Prerequisites
Appropriate level skills as demonstrated tthrough portfolio and CV and a three year Bachelors degree in a cognate area from an Australian tertiary institution or its international equivalent. Equivalence may be met by the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Digital Arts.
For those with a three year degree in a non cognate area relevant work experience of at least two years at APS level 6 or above (or quivalent) will be regarded as recognised prior learning to gain admission.
