The Graduate Diploma of International Security Law provides students with an understanding of the core principles of the contemporary law in the field, including international peacekeeping.

This program will utilise the expertise of specialist academics in the ANU College of Law in the field of international security law, and also seek to complement other courses and programs offered throughout the ANU in the security field.

A key aspect of this program is to provide specialist education and training in the area of international security law to the Australian Public Service, where there has been an enormous expansion in national and international security agencies over the past decade.

All students will also be required to complete a supervised research project in an area of their choice.

The program is supported by a number of electives from across the existing LLM International Law program, including international criminal law, and international humanitarian law.

Prerequisites

A strong pass degree, preferably in a relevant field or a combination of a degree and relevant employment experience.
