The Master of Music is designed primarily for students wishing to develop existing skills and knowledge to an advanced level or to develop new areas of expertise in music relevant to the specific needs of the music profession or industry, and is undertaken by coursework over one year.
Prerequisites
Applicants should have a four year Bachelors degree in Music with relevant experience, or an Honours degree and demonstration of and advanced level of skill and knowledge in a selected field - typically through an audition. Graduates of four year programs in fields other than Music, who show a high level capacity or aptitude in a nominated field of Music, may also recieve entry to this program.
Students are normally required to audition, or submite a folio of their work, and be interviewed at the School of Music. Some programs may require students to complete additional tests, For overseas and interstate applicants, an audio/video recording and/or folio of work may be considered as a provisional audition.
