Master of Archaeological Science
Degree Structure
The program consists of courses to the value of 48 units. Students must complete the 12units compulsory course (ARCH8032) and a minimum 24units of core courses. The 24units core courses must include an approved 12units combination of core courses as listed for the compulsory requirements. Students may take 12units of elective courses taught accross the four Colleges supporting the program.
International students may only take this program full-time. Other students may study on the full-time or part-time basis with some options for distance learning through flexible delivery.
From 2012 the new Master of Archaeological Science degree specialisations in Forensic Archaeology and Palaeopathology and the specialisation in Quaternary Studies and Palaeoenvironments will require particular combinations of core courses to achieve these specialisations as awards. Students may seek approval from the program convenor for variation to the 12units combination of core courses where they are studying a particular theme route through the graduate program.
