The Master of Contemporary Science is an online degree aimed at practising science teachers in high schools and colleges, and others in the field of science education or policy. The objectives of this program are to attract such people back into the university environment to:
- refresh and increase their knowledge base in their own and cognate discipline areas through online learning experiences designed to present state-of-the-art progress in the several disciplines of science; and
- expose them to the rapid evolution of scientific discovery by providing them with the opportunity of becoming actively engaged, if only in a time-limited fashion, with cutting-edge research either within the College or other parts of the University.
Semester 1, or Semester 2, commencement available.
The Graduate Certificate of Contemporary Science (24 units) provides an opportunity to convert to the Masters degree. Similarly, it is possible to exit the Masters degree early and graduate with the Graduate Certificate if the Certificate requirements have been met.
Prerequisites
Science-based Bachelor's degree with appropriate work experience in a relevant area, or equivalent.
