The Master of Chemistry (Research) is a two-year program and is designed to provide a pathway from undergraduate study to postgraduate research. It requires completion of 48 units of coursework identical to that offered in the Master of Chemistry with a 70% grade average followed by a year of full-time research in one of the many cutting edge research groups in the Research School of Chemistry. 

Students who have not met the requirement in the first year of coursework may opt to exit with a Master of Chemistry degree.
