The Master of Biological Sciences is a full-time one year coursework program that may be tailored to a student's needs. The program may specialise in a particular area of biology such as biomedical sciences, ecology and evolution, genetics, immunology, and biochemistry. Alternatively the courses may be chosen to provide a broad overview of biological sciences today. Many courses contain practical classes that refresh traditional techniques and develop skills and knowledge in new techniques used in areas of biology.
Admission Requirements
Bachelor with Honours or equivalent to Graduate Certificate is required. Undergraduate level studies with a major focus in a appropriate field of biology. Studies in areas complementary to biology may be required for admission. For example students wishing to focus on molecular biology courses need knowledge of chemistry as well as cell and molecular biology. Admission will consider completion of later year undergraduate courses in a theme to support the proposed focus of studies in the Masters program.
