Degree Structure

The program consists of 48 units, normally including 24 units of compulsory courses, as follows:

Compulsory courses

CRWF8000 Government, Markets and Global Change

POGO8081 Economics for Government*

POGO8055 Case Studies in Public Sector Management

POGO8056 People and Performance in Public Organisations and/or

POGO8057 Managing Government Finances

 

On the basis of previous studies, candidates may be granted exemption from one or more courses and may substitute additional electives.


* Those who have been credited with POGO8016 Economic Way of Thinking I and/or POGO8019 Economic Way of Thinking II may substitute another approved elective.

 

Electives:

Students at the Crawford School have Course Advising Services available to them to assist in choosing electives.

An extensive list of elective courses offered by the Crawford School is listed under "Summary of Courses", including details of which session the course will be offered.

In order to realise their particular study ambitions, students may wish to:

i. consider electives available elsewhere in the College of Asia and the Pacific, List of Graduate Coursework Courses

ii. contemplate electives offered in the National Security College, see the list http://nsc.anu.edu.au/grad_studies.php

iii. seek approval to include as electives courses from graduate coursework programs offered elsewhere in the University.
