| Course Description |
In Gold & Silversmithing: Concepts, Materials, Processes 2, a project-oriented program extends student technical, material and conceptual skills. This course can be individually negotiated to focus on any traditional or contemporary practice in the field. Students devise an individual work proposal, applying critical thinking and innovation to a broad range of materials, techniques and concepts. Occupational health and safety instruction is an integral part of this course. |

| Indicative Assessment |
Portfolio of studio work (80%) [LOs 1, 2, 4] Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). [LOs 1 and 3] Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress. |
| Workload |
4 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and in excess of 4 hours per week independent studio practice. |
