Drawing 3 further develops student skills, techniques and processes in drawing. Conceptual and thematic issues continue to be addressed and occupational health and safety instruction is included. Students continue to extend their understanding of analytical and observational approaches to drawing through work on individual projects.

Note: Places in this course are limited. Students are advised to enrol as early as possible.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate increased level of skills in techniques, processes, use of specific equipment and technologies
2. Exploit the characteristics of materials and processes in an individual way
3. Apply concepts to the development of works of art
4. Show increased awareness of relevant historical and theoretical contexts

Portfolio of studio work (80%) [LOs 1 – 4]

Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). [LOs 1 – 4]

Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress.

4 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice and other research.
