| Course Description |
Students proceeding to the Honours year of the Bachelor of Science have a choice of enrolling in one of the following: The type of honours enrolment will depend on the nature of the research project, and of the choice of courses taken in the 4th year. The research project forms a major component (50-75%) of the assessment in the honours year. Students will have a choice of a wide variety of projects offered by staff at the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics, the Department of Mathematics, the Department of Research School of Physics and Engineering and the Research School of Earth Sciences every year. The remaining 25-50% will be in the form of coursework which could consist of fourth year courses offered by the Departments of Mathematics or Physics, third year astrophysics courses that they may not have already completed, astrophysics courses offered specifically to fourth year students and 4th year courses offered by the Departments of Mathematics, Physics or Computational Science..
