| Course Description |
The aim of this course is to provide students with an introduction to the anatomical organisation of the human body. Current knowledge of how the human body works is based, in many instances, on the analysis of its anatomy. Hence, knowledge of the anatomy leads to a better understanding of function, together with an appreciation of the outcomes and symptoms of dysfunction. In this functional anatomy course, lectures will address topics, which offer special insight into the normal structure and function of the body and lay the basis for the understanding of disease states. The practical sessions offer students the opportunity to examine human prosected specimens, plastic models and other resources that facilitate the study of this discipline. This course gives students the opportunity to prepare for a medically-related career. Enrolment is restricted to 100 students and entry will be merit-based. Students should email rsb.studentadmin@anu.edu.au to register for the course by 30 March. A permission code will be emailed to students who have been admitted into the course. |
