Course Description

This course is designed for students wanting a deeper understanding of contemporary issues in auditing and assurance services. Prior knowledge of auditing is assumed. This course is an advanced unit and all aspects of your work are expected to be of a high standard, both in academic content and quality of exposition. One of the keys to successful and less stressful progression through any course is thorough preparation and effective time management.

The course involves focused reading of research within the domain of auditing and assurance services. The precise reading areas are set for the semester based upon student interest and instructor guidance.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course students should have:

Workload

Students taking this course are expected to commit at least 12 hours a week (including non-teaching weeks) to completing the work. This will include attending classes, course reading, research, writing and assignment work.
