| Course Description |
This is a research-intensive course in which the student will develop and implement a self-directed research project. The course will involve the development of a research proposal, presentation of a seminar and the write-up of the project as a journal-quality paper of 20,000 words. The student will be supervised by an academic supervisor with knowledge or experience in the relevant field of study, with whom the student is expected to schedule regular contact for advice and support. |

| Requisite Statement |
To be admitted to this course, students need to have completed the Master of Social Research with a 70% average. Students may also be required to identify an appropriate research topic and supervisor. |
