Course Description

WEB-Design-Create 2 is an elective course to further develop skills, techniques and processes in professional web based representation. A series of exercises will lead students to represent and promote their professional practice on the Internet and other media like print. Students will be introduced to Web2 technologies to maximize networking and promotional opportunities relevant to their practice. Conceptual and thematic issues are addressed and occupational health and safety instructions are included.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Consolidate your understanding of techniques and processes used in professional online promotion and networking
  2. Creatively explore of the web 2 technologies and services and its application relevant to the students professional practice
  3. Show basic awareness of historical and theoretical contexts relevant to the course
Indicative Assessment

Portfolio of studio work (70%) Portfolio of studio work (70%) [Learning Outcomes 1 – 3]

Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%) [Learning Outcomes 1 – 3]

Participation (10%) [Learning Outcomes 1 – 3]

Workload

4 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice and other research.
