In Sculpture Design 4, studio investigation introduces opportunities for students to explore individual areas of interest within sculptural design through a self directed project-based structure supported by a short introduction to video installation. Students are introduced to the process of developing self directed work proposals. Higher-level skills, techniques, processes and occupational health and safety principles are increasingly developed. Critical thinking and creative problem solving are encouraged and applied to individual projects. Studio theory contextualizes student study within the broader design and arts context. Students learn the value of keeping extensive visual diaries and technical diaries. |
