CAD-Design-Create 1 provides graduate coursework students with a broader range of skills, techniques and processes in computer-based design for 2D and 3D manufacturing. Students will prepare and present increasingly sophisticated design ideas and materialize them through computer controlled fabrication processes.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of an extended range of techniques and processes used in 2D and 3D computer aided design (CAD)
2. Show advanced creative exploration of the digital design environment and its application.
3. Interpret, communicate and present ideas and design solutions.
4. Recognise historical and theoretical contexts of individual project areas
5. Comply with OH & S requirements and procedures.

Portfolio of studio work: 70% [LO 1- 4] 

Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation: 20% [LO 1 -5]

Participation 10%: [LO 1-5]

Assessment includes periodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress.

4 hours per week lectures in the computer lab, critiques and supervised practical sessions and 1 hour per week graduate focus-sessions. 4hrs of independent study is expected.
