| Course Description |
Practice in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating will be based on a number of texts which are selected to introduce certain topics. The course aims to enable students to: a. discuss a variety of non-technical topics relating to Indonesia and Australia with a native speaker, with appropriate fluency and range of language; |

| Indicative Assessment |
Assessment will be based on: class performance (attendance and participation) (20%), two quick quizzes (10%), mid-program written test (15%), mid-program oral test (20%), final program written test (15%) and final program oral test (20%). Graduate students attend joint classes with undergraduates but should expect a more rigorous assessment and additional assignment work. |

The course will be taught over a period of one month or approximately 70 contact hours at The Language Centre, Faculty of Language and Literature, Satya Wacana Christian University Salatiga, Indonesia. It is expected that the Summer Session course will be run in January and the Winter Session course in June and July |

Permission of Coordinator. Placements will be subject to availability and security assessment. DEADLINES to submit completed application packs to the School In-Country course Administrator are: a.) for WINTER courses: COB Friday of Teaching Week 8 in Semester 1 b.) for SUMMER session courses: COB Friday of Teaching Week 11 in Semester 2. Participants are advised that due to circumstances beyond the University's control (for example: the onset of specific international security concerns, or international health crises) it may not be possible for this program to run or it may be terminated at short notice or without notice. STUDENTS ENTER THIS PROGRAM AT THEIR OWN RISK. |
