Course Description

The basic components will be

1. two relevant honours-level courses relevant to population health (20% each)

2. a sub-thesis of approximately 15,000 words on a population health topic (60%)

The coursework components available will be confirmed year by year by the convener, in consultation with the university areas offering them and with the applicants. The most likely coursework components include relevant honours courses in the Faculties (e.g. the population biology theory seminar of the biological anthropology honours program, Arts), and relevant postgraduate courses offered by Demography ADSRI (e.g. health demography), the Medical School, and/or the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. Thesis supervision is to be provided by relevant faculties staff with, where so negotiated, co-supervision by other staff, e.g. from Demography or NCEPH.
