Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Music
This combined program requires the completion of 192 units.
Bachelor of Arts
The Bachelor of Arts component of the combined program offered by the ANU College of Social Sciences requires the completion of 96 units, of which:
A maximum of 36 units can come from completion of 1000-level courses
A minimum of 60 units must come from completion of 2000 and 3000 level courses
The 96 units must include:
48 units from the completion of one Arts major
Either 24 units from the completion of Arts minor
and 24 units from completion courses offered by the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences or listed in Arts majors or minors above.
Or 48 units from completion of a second Arts major.
Bachelor of Music
The Bachelor of Music component of the combined program offered by the ANU College of Social Sciences requires the completion of 96 units, of which:
A maximum of 36 units can come from completion of 1000 level courses
A minimum of 60 units must come from completion of 2000 and 3000 level courses
The 96 units** must comprise of courses offered by the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences or listed in an approved major or minor.
The 96 units will include:
12 units from the following two compulsory courses:
MUSI1105: Music Creative Practice 1 (6 units)
MUSI1106: Music Creative Practice 2 (6 units)
48 units from at least one major from the following list:
Music Inquiry*
Performance
Creative and Professional Practice
24 units from at least one minor from the following list:
Music Inquiry*
Performance
Creative and Professional Practice
*Music Inquiry is compulsory: all students must complete either a major or a minor in Music Inquiry
** Students will have 12 or 24 units of CASS electives to complete if a Major or Minor in Creative and Professional Practice is chosen.
