This program offers a flexible platform for those wishing to develop breadth in environmental science and resource management, or depth in specific aspects. The scope of this program is broad, reflecting the Australian National University's diverse strengths in the environmental sciences and their applications. The flexibility of course requirements for the degree allows programs to be structured to meet individual interests.
Master of Science specialising in Environmental Science graduates can expect to:
• gain both a broad knowledge base about contemporary issues and challenges in environment and sustainability, and a high level of knowledge of a specific topic reflecting their interests,
• develop their independent learning, analytical and research, teamwork, and oral and written communication skills;
• have better developed networks relevant to their academic and professional interests; and
• be better placed to respond to the challenges of environment and sustainability through their chosen careers
