| Course Description |
This course will focus on contemporary policy issues in the Australian economy. The lectures will be delivered by experts within the ANU and by visitors drawn from government departments and other universities. The more important topics are taken from the following policy areas; the labour market, welfare, immigration and education and economic growth. |
| Learning Outcomes | A better appreciation of the analysis of economic policy issues from an economic,social, political and historical perspective. The emphasis will be on real examples mainly drawn from the Australian economy and the emphasis will be mainly on economics . There will be considerable class interaction during each two hour segment. |
