| Course Description |
Students work with a native speaker of a previously undescribed language, writing papers on some aspect of the grammar or phonology of the language. Instruction in the methodology of field-work and ethical considerations. |

Report on phonology (30%) and report on some other aspect of linguistic structure (70%). |
