Course Description

This course will form the capstone course for students undertaking study towards professional accreditation with the Market Research Society of Australia as part of the Master of Business or Master of Marketing. The main objectives of this course are:

  • To integrate the knowledge developed in previous marketing and statistics courses
  • To undertake market research appropriate to marketing problem
  • To develop professional writing and presentation skills
  • To demonstrate the ability to facilitate and improve marketing decisions
Learning Outcomes Build knowledge to confidently communicate ideas in client language related to research findings; Improving written and oral skills to confidently and competently communicate through  discussions related to research and express personal view points; Confidently and sympathetically evaluate work and ideas presented by your peers; Be able to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment to achieve specific outcomes; Further develop skills in finding and accessing information effectively and evaluating its  quality and relevance.
Indicative Assessment
  • Group Project 40%
  • Individual Project 20%
  • Final Exam 405
Workload

3 hours seminar plus private study time.
