Degree Structure

The degree requires completion of at least 48 units comprising of: 

Compulsory courses (30 units): 

  • BIOL6101 Cellular Neuroscience (6 units)
  • BIOL6102 Systems Neuroscience (6 units)
  • BIOL6174 Cellular Physiology (6 units)
  • BIOL8702 Biotechnology Practical Course (12 units)

Plus 18 units of elective courses, chosen from the following: 

  • NEUR8001 Neuroscience Research Project (6-12 units)
  • PSYC8020 Visual Sensation and Perception (6 units)
  • BIOL8291 Research Skills (6 units)
  • NEUR8700 Neuroscience Research Proposal (6-12 units)
  • NEUR8701 Readings in Neuroscience (6 units)
  • NEUR8704 Neuroscience Essay (6 units)
