Master of International and Development Economics
Degree Structure
The program consists of 48 units, including 18 units of compulsory courses and 30 units of electives. Electives may be chosen from those listed under Summary of Courses or from other courses offered by the Crawford School of Economics and Government or the ANU College of Business and Economics, subject to the approval of the Program Director. Not more than two of these may be undergraduate courses, taken at Honours level.
Intending PhD students are encouraged to take ECON8022 Macroeconomic Theory as an elective course in Semester 1 (and may take this course in lieu of IDEC8008 Open Economy Macroeconomics, Finance and Development if they are specialising in a Microeconomic area) and EMET8002 Case Studies in Applied Econometrics in Semester 2.
