In Major 3 a broader range of intermediate skills, techniques and processes, including occupational health and safety principles, is introduced in each workshop. Instruction through design-based studio work encourages an integration of material practice with growing conceptual investigation.  Studio theory increasingly serves to contextualize student study within the broader arts and design context.

Portfolio of studio work (80%) and Journal/Documentation/Studio Theory presentation (20%). Assessment includes priodic critique and review sessions that provide ongoing feedback on work in progress.

12 hours per week lectures, tutorials, critiques and supervised studio practice and 6 hours per week independent studio practice.
