| Course Description |
The course will examine both chronologically and thematically aspects of the development of painting, sculpture, and architecture from Giotto through to the death of Michelangelo. Amongst the themes to be treated will be: art and the State; the revival of classical forms; the Papacy and the development of Rome. |
| Indicative Assessment |
2,000 word essay (40%), Eight minute class presentation (25%) and 1,000 word take-home visual paper (35%). |
