| Course Description |
This course examines the principles and practice of corporate governance and develops a multidisciplinary framework to analyse important regulatory, managerial and economic issues in the governance of corporations. Topics covered in the course emphasise the roles of regulators, shareholders, directors and executive management in corporate governance, with some emphasis on the roles of institutional shareholders and non-executive directors. Special attention is also given to markets, property rights, information asymmetry and international differences in corporate governance. |

Teaching for this course is likely to be in the format of one 3 hour seminar per week; however, enrolment numbers may dictate that it be run differently.
