| Course Description |
Extensive reading in modern Chinese literature and thought and discussion of the texts. The main emphasis will be on contemporary writing. |
| Indicative Assessment |
Assignments (40%), regular tests (10%) and a final examination (50%). Graduate students attend joint classes with undergraduates but may expect more rigorous assessment and additional assignment work, tailored to the graduate students’ interests. Graduate students may expect a final assignment rather than an exam. |
