Course Description

A continuation of the work in Modern Chinese 5 and an introduction to the original complex forms of simplified Chinese characters and language variation used in Taiwan.

Indicative Assessment

Assignment: 20%, mid-term examination: 15%, oral examination: 15%, final examination: 50%. Graduate students attend joint classes with undergraduates but may expect more rigorous assessment and additional assignment work, tailored to the graduate students’ interests.
