Course Description

Readings in Classical Chinese history, philosophy and poetry from various periods.

Indicative Assessment

Written tests during the semester (60%), Final exam (40%). Graduate students attend joint classes with undergraduates but may expect more rigorous assessment and additional assignment work, tailored to the graduate students’ interests.

Requisite Statement

Classical Chinese 2 CHIN6531. Unless exempted by the Graduate Program Convener all graduate students must enrol concurrently in the course Graduate Language Supplement EAST8023 which usually includes a written assessment piece of several thousand words.
