Course Description	A thesis of 25000-30000 words on an approved topic. Students are required to select the topic for the thesis in consultation with the Convener . A supervisor will meet with the student at regular intervals to offer feedback and discuss progress.
Learning Outcomes	With the completion of the thesis the student will have read deeply in and given a thought to a particular field of classical world studies. He/she will also have developed skills in collecting, reading, analysing and evaluating evidence; formulating an argument; and writing up the discussion in clear and readable prose.
Indicative Assessment	The thesis, to be examined by two assessors, is 100% of the assessment.
Workload	Twenty hours per week
