Course Description

Students will formulate a reading program on a particular topic in consultation with a supervisor. The program may include reading in either or both Latin and Ancient Greek, depending on the student's reading competence.

Learning Outcomes At the end of the semester students will have acquired a knowledge and understanding of the period or issues examined in the course of the semester.

3000-word essay (50%)

Final examination (50%)

Workload 1 hour meeting with supervisor plus eight hours per week
